Travis Campbell, Son of the legendary recording artist Glen Campbell and the late Billie Jean Campbell, who worked extensively with the great “Mother”, now “Saint Teresa”. Travis is an International Speaker and Elder Abuse Activist who speaks several languages. He is as well a Drummer /Record Producer and Co-owner of Glen Campbell Music. He was taught at an early age the importance of helping others and being a voice for people in need.

Travis received his early education in Lausanne, Switzerland and returned to the United States where he graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in French literature and minor in political science. He grew up in the Hollywood Hills and often appeared on his father’s television show “The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour”.

Travis and his sister Debby Campbell Cloyd were alienated from their father after Glen just endured a grueling 157 dates on a concert tour at the behest of his wife all the while being in his late seventies and suffering from Alzheimer’s. He was then placed in a nursing home, of which Debby and Travis only found out through the media. Once they found their father, his plea to Travis was, “son please get me out of this Sh.. hole”. This launched a whirl wind battle which played out through the media. After a lengthy court battle to see their father because of being denied visitation, the disturbing circumstances surrounding the Glen Campbell case resulted in a law being passed in Tennessee similar to the Kasem Cares bill that has become law in numerous states. Travis worked diligently and made multiple trips to Nashville to deliver his testimony at hearings and meet individually with legislators. Three Major areas that were addressed are things one would never think would have to be codified!

  1. the right for children to see their parent in a nursing home,
  2. the right to read your mail in a nursing home,
  3. the right to talk to your loved ones in a nursing home on the telephone.

Travis Campbell now dedicates his life to helping others who have been through the tragedy of being alienated from a Parent or loved one. As a board member of The Kasem Cares Foundation and an advocate on Elder Abuse, he understands and sympathizes with those who are going through alienation, exploitation, and abuse of a loved one.

Travis travels the United States to testify and pass laws that protect our elders through the Kasem Cares Foundation he has traveled to and testified in Michigan, Maryland, Washington DC, and countless other cities across the United States to help others become aware and informed on how they can protect themselves and their loved ones from falling victim to these senseless crimes.

He has been known to state on many occasions,” I am part of the Kasem Cares team to bring awareness and stop the abuse to those in need. I find it extremely fulfilling that due to the hard work of everyone on the Kasem Cares team, we will effect changes in people’s lives, many of whom we will never meet or see. I am extremely honored to be part of such a dynamic and talented team”.
